AOAExcel Hosts Upcoming Student Loan Workshop

(PRESS RELEASE) ST. LOUIS, MO — On August 24, the administration announced the extension of the federal student loan payment holiday through December 31, 2022, as well as up to $10,000 in student loan forgiveness (and up to $20,000 $ for Pell Grant recipients) for borrowers earning less than $125,000. AOAExcel will be partnering with Laurel Road on Wednesday, November 2 at 8 p.m. ET to host a workshop focused on answering questions about these two announcements titled “Navigating the Student Loan Payment Restart with Confidence.”

This live workshop will cover topics such as:

  • What is student loan refinancing? Are you eligible? Could you save by refinancing? Will refinancing affect your credit score?
  • What the Federal Student Loan Payment and Interest Break Means for DOs
  • How DOs Can Position Their Student Loans During Uncertain Interest Rates
  • Explanation of Federal Student Loan Debt Cancellation as it pertains to DOs
  • How AOA Members Can Get 0.25% Off Fares

AOA members are encouraged to bring their own student loan questions and answer them live during the workshop. AOAExcel members who are willing to refinance their student loans can qualify for a 0.25% rate reduction through Laurel Road here and can check their rates in less than 5 minutes – with no effect on their credit score.

Federal student loan payments and interest suspension set to end Dec. 31 as thousands of AOA members may be required to resume payment and may begin accruing interest on federal student loans for the first time in almost 2 years.
